People always ask us the same two questions: ”What’s smart data?” and “Why Level 4?” Smart data is actually a myth (we didn’t dare to say nonsense). Data is neither clever nor stupid, neither good nor bad, data is completely neutral in every way you look at it. The awareness that it is there and the ability to catch it, however, make data valuable. You can for example transform it into information in order to optimise business processes. That is exactly what Level 4 has been doing so successfully since 2006 and that is why we are a smart data company. The answer to the second question is a little more simple and less mysterious. While we were in search of a catchy name for our upcoming company, the landlord of a dimly lit pub on the English South coast happened to loudly ask , “You guys ready for level 4?” He meant the 4th round of beer but we had the name for our company.
